Lonely Sky & Other Stories

RARELY SEEN ALBUM!!! This album was only released on LP and only in South Africa. It was released there because the government had banned the song 'Spanish Train' and withdrew the album it was featured on - "SPANISH TRAIN AND OTHER STORIES". The track was removed and the album re-released as "LONELY SKY AND OTHER STORIES". The song was deemed blasphemous in South Africa, and a ban was ordered. A&M records sued to get the ban overturned - the suit was eventually successful. However, while the suit was in progress, A&M released the album for two years under the title "Lonely Sky and Other Stories" (without 'Spanish Train'). This album is considered a collector's item today - copies are extremely rare. Perversely, the ban only applied to the LP record. The cassette of this album and the seven single of 'Spanish Train' were, however not banned so the song 'Spanish Train' was still freely (and legally) available in South Africa.
