On rear sleeve: "This LP is a transcription from the original 78 r.p.m. masters of the recording made in April 1947 at E.M.I.'s No. 1 Studio at Abbey Road, London. While the sound is obviously not of contemporary high-fidelity standards, it is felt that the musical and historical value of Solomon's unique performance is worthy of preservation."
