Description

1964 1st UK Stereo pressing with laminated front flipback cover

It's this version on Discogs :

The Beatles – A Hard Day's Night – Vinyl (Wide Label Font, LP, Album, Stereo), 1964 [r686492] | Discogs

Cover is sound with no rips or tears - has some light small creases mainly to laminate on front & there is some age related staining to left opening edge on rear, also someone has crossed out a name written on the top of the rear cover just under the flipback edge but it's quite small (see photo). On both sides of the opening edge there is what looks like sellotape residue but why anyone would have put tape there I don't comprehend?

Vinyl has numerous light hairlines & scuff marks but nothing feelable or deep. On playback I would say it's a VG to VG+ overall, there is light crackle on the run-ins & between tracks & maybe in the very quietest sections but still plays remarkably well for its age with no jumps or skips on my system.

YEX 126-1 / YEX 127-1 matrices.

Priced below the median for this version on Discogs but obviously not an "archive" copy - one of those would set you back the best part of £200.
