The disc isn't new, but the playing surfaces are near-perfect and show almost no signs of wear when studied under direct light. It sounds as good as it did when brand new. The labels are close to perfect, with no more than the lightest ‘spindle’ marks around the hole.

The Police' were propelled into stardom on the back of no.1 hits like 'Message in a Bottle' and 'Walking on the Moon' on this, the three-piece' second LP, 'Regatta de Blanc'.
A supreme entry at the closing of the decade, songs like, 'The Beds too Big Without You' and 'Bring on the Night' land their brand of white reggae with subtlety, conviction of storytelling and of musical identity. Probably best enjoyed with the rain and a cigarette.
